Smiths of Mecklenburg features real country sausage made by real country folks. Ed Smith, founder, is a retired tobacco farmer from South Hill, VA. Over the last six years the Smith’s have used their family recipe to make fresh, 72% lean sausage every week in their own facility. The sausage comes in a variety of flavors in Bulk Chub (1.5 lb. packs) or Hand-Tied Links (5 links/pack). It's all natural and gluten free. Ed and his wife, Ellen, travel to northern Virginia farmers markets to sell their favorite recipes and food. In addition to our locally made, fresh sausage, we offer specialty items including homemade soups and stews, cheese dips, award-winning salsa, peppers, and pimento cheese.
