A third generation farmer in Pickaway County, Bryson showed a passion for farming at a very young age with a special interest in cattle and poultry. It had been over 30 years since cattle were raised on the family farm but he insisted that he was ready. He started with a 4-H Diary Beef Feeder project named Sir Winston. After Winston taught him the basics of bottle feeding, care, handling and showing Bryson was ready to start his herd. Through community support of 4-H youth at the county fair, he was able to save enough money to start his herd. Now a freshman in high school his farm operation has expanded to beef, poultry, eggs and hay. He is also working with the USDA on grant opportunities with innovative grazing techniques.
