Our Farm's Journey We bought a few beef heifers in 2001 and started raising them the conventional way using vaccines, wormers, grain, and AI breeding trying to get our operation profitable. In 2008 I told my son we either needed to get out or change the direction we are going. In 2009 we went to Greg Judy's field day and that convinced me I wanted to go grassfed, and I never looked back. We visited w/ farmers there and decided to get some Southpoll heifers. I went to different seminars that taught intense grazing, but I didn't git the whole picture until I met Allen Williams, Gabe Brown, Ray Archuleta w/understanding Ag. The rest of the pieces of the puzzle started to falling into place.
