Black Hide Beef

Black Hide Beef is Angus-based freezer beef. It is a division of Schipper Farms, our family farm located in Martin, MI. Black Hide Beef derives from the theory that black hided beef animals grade better than other color hided animals. All cattle we sell will have some Angus genetics in them. We believe in crossbreeding with a goal of 50% Angus in each animal. All of the calves in the program are raised here or nearby. Care is taken that calves we purchase from neighbors fit our criteria to be a part of our program. All cattle are fed on our farm. We offer a variety of order options to fit each customer's needs including bulk orders of a whole, 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8 beef, or custom orders by the piece/pound.
