M & T Meats is a renowned family-owned butcher shop located in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Established in 1963 by Alvin Mathis Jr. and Fred Thompson, the business began by selling fresh sausage to friends and family. In 1992, Phil and Tammy Mathis took over, expanding operations to include an on-site abattoir, hog farming, and the introduction of beef and chicken products. Today, M & T Meats processes over 20,000 pounds of meat weekly, offering a diverse range of products from locally raised pork to Certified Angus Beef and exotic meats like bison and alligator.
